Sehari-hari, saya merupakan seorang ibu rumah tangga. Sementara, suami saya bekerja disalah satu restoran di Jakarta. Maira merupakan anak kedua kami yang saat ini sedang berjuang untuk sembuh dari kanker hati (Hepatobalstoma).
Humaira menderita kanker hati (Hepatobalstoma) stadium 4 sejak usia 7 bulan.
Kankernya menyebabkan perut Maira membesar dan keras, selain itu fungsi hatinya juga tinggi!
Hingga kini Maira sudah menjalani kemoterapi sebanyak 3 protokol yang berganti-ganti dengan dosis yang tinggi. Namun, dokter menyampaikan bahwa saking ganasnya kanker yang ada dihati Maira, kemoterapi belum dapat menghacurkan sel kankernya.
Namun, masih ada harapan untuk Maira, yaitu dengan menjalani pengobatan TACI.
Dokter menyampaikan bahwa:
“Taci adalah Pengobatan kemoterapi yang langsung masuk ke kankernya dengan cara memasukan obat melalui pembuluh darah besar vena dipaha menggunakan alat kateter”
Untuk itu, biaya yang diperlukan tentu tidak sedikit. Ditambah lagi, saat ini Maira juga harus mengonsumsi Susu Peptamen Junior dengan harga 270/kaleng dan Maira butuh 7 kaleng dalam sebulan. Kami sempat sama sekali tak miliki biaya lagi, sehingga susu tersebut kami ganti dengan susu lain namun kondisi Maira malah memburuk. Ia muntah, demam, diare dan lambungnya mengeluarkan cairan hijau melalui selang NGT.
Jika dibayangkan, rasanya kami tak mampu. Biaya yang harus kami miliki sungguh besar, bagi kami yang memiliki upah tak menentu sungguh sangat tak mungkin untuk bisa bantu putri kami dapatkan pengobatan yang seharusnya.
Namun, melihat semangat Maira untuk sembuh, kami akan berikhtiar semampu kami meski harus bekerja apapun! Asalkan halal dan bisa untuk biaya Maira berobat, saya dan suami akan lakukan!
