Nama Panji awalnya mulai terkenal setelah berperan jadi pawang dan penjinak hewan di sebuah acara televisi.
Setelah acaranya usai, Panji sempat cukup lama tak terdengar lagi namanya.
Sayangnya sempat ada isu tidak sedap yang menyebut bahwa Panji meninggal dunia, namun hal ini hanyalah kabar angin saja.
Isu meninggalnya Panji Sang Petualang memang sempat menjadi viral beberapa waktu lalu.
Isu itu menyebar di kalangan netizen tanpa adanya konfirmasi yang jelas.
Melansir dari Tribun Pontianak (2/5/2017) ketika dikonfirmasi, Panji mengatakan tidak tahu dari mana kabar itu berasal.
“Alhamdulillah sehat. Kabar baik. Kalau sakit tidak di sini,” katanya seraya tertawa.
Panji menjelaskan, kevakumannya dari televisi karena ingin mencari ide kreatif baru.
Dirinya juga tetap berpetualang dan mencari yang lebih menarik.
Panji juga masih suka menggeluti dunia satwa terutama reptil.
“Awalnya jenuh. Kemudian mulai mencari ide kreatif baru. Kan sudah sembilan tahun sama ular.”
“Tapi aku tetap adventure, cari yang lebih menarik.”
“Kalau seperti itu terus nanti orang pasti bosan. Jadi break dulu,” katanya.
Panji Sang Petualang juga masih sering diundang dalam acara off air.
Misalnya seperti acara berbau edukasi, pengenalan reptil ke masyarakat dan beberapa kali roadshow ke beberapa kota.
Dirinya mengaku bersyukur atas respon positif masyarakat kepada dirinya.
Namun baru-baru ini Panji kembali curhat dan mengeluh di media sosial lantaran dirinyapernah diisukan meninggal dunia.
Postingan ini diunggah akun Facebook Panji Petualang pada Sabtu (4/11/2017).
Dalam unggahannya ini Panji menulis, “Ya Allah kurus item pendek di bilang mati lagi sama orang se Nusantara, ngenes bener… Nasibbbb nasibbbb.”
Dia juga mengunggah 5 foto saat dirinya menjinakkan ular dan buaya.
Akun Facebook Panji Petualang sendiri telah diikuti oleh lebih dari 7 ribu orang.
Curhatan Panji itu juga cukup viral di kalangan netizen.
Padahal belum 24 jam diunggah, postingan ini telah mendapatkan banyak respon dari para netizen.
Terbukti dengan sudah adanya lebih dari seribu share, like dan puluhan komentar.
Banyak netizen yang lantas bersimpati kepadanya.
