Ketahuilah kalau doa
orang yang sakit itu derajatny sama dengan doa para malaikat, seperti
diterangkan oleh Imam an-Nawawi dalam kitab doa ‘al Adzkar’ seraya
mengutip hadist dari Sayyidina Umar bin Al Khatta Radhiyallahu ‘anhu,
عن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا دخلت على مريض فمره فليدع لك، فإن دعاءه كدعاء الملائكة
“Umar bin Khattab
mengatakan bahwa Rasulullah Shallallahu alaihi wasallam bersabda, ‘Bila
kalian mengunjungi orang sakit, mintalah ia untuk mendoakanmu, sebab
sesungguhnya doa mereka sama dengan doa malaikat.” (HR: Ibn Majah, serta

Hadis yang dikutip Imam

keutamaan meminta doa terhadap orang yang sedang sakit:
“Jenguklah orang-orang
sakit, serta mintalah terhadap mereka supaya berkenan mendoakanmu, sebab
doa orang sakit itu mustajab serta dirinya diampuni atas dosanya.” (HR.
Thabrani serta Baihaqi)
“Kegunaaankanlah doa alias permohonan mukmin yang terkena musibah.” (HR. Sa’id bin Manshur dalam Sunan-nya)
“Orang yang terkena musibah, doanya dikabulkan.” (HR. ad Dailami)
“Doa orang yang sakit bukan ditolak hingga dia sembuh.” (HR. Ibnu Abid Dunya serta Al Baihaqi)

Mengapa orang sakit,
diberbagi kedudukan yang ‘istimewa’ itu? tidak lain tidak bukan, bersama
keadaannya yang sedang sakit, maka dia tidak sedikit berharap dan
meminta kepada Allah. Mereka rutin raja’ terhadap Allah ta’ala supaya
disembuhkan penyakitnya.
Hati mereka, penuh dengan ketundukan terhadap Allah ta’ala, yang siapa tahu semasa sehatnya, lebih tidak sedikit lalainya.
Orang yang sedang sakit
biasanya mereka lebih ingat terhadap Allah serta tidak jarang berdzikir
kepada-Nya. Dirinya seolah-olah bersih dari dosa saking tidak jarangnya
berdzikir seperti halnya para malaikat.
Sebab itu, maqam mereka
ketika berdoa, mustajabah. Serta kita, butuh terhadap doa-doa seperti
ini. Kami sendiri tidaklah tahu, dari segi mana doa yang kami panjatkan
bakal dikabulkan oleh Allah ta’ala.
Kendati demikian,
meminta do’a dari orang yang sakit butuh sekiranya menonton kondisi
serta situasi yang bersangkutan, Jangan hingga orang yang sedang
sekarat, alias sakitnya sangat parah hingga tidak sadarkan diri diminta
untuk mendoakannya.
Pastinya, ini butuh
terhadap pengajaran terhadap umat untuk mengetahui kembali agamanya.
Sebab, apabila tidak disampaikan alias belum tahu, bakal terjadi
misskomunikasi. Justru orang yang sedang sakit serta dimintakan doanya,
dapat saja tersinggung serta marah. Di saat ia butuh untuk didoakan
untuk kesembuhan, kok malah orang meminta doa kepadanya.
Padahal, ini merupakan sunnah Nabi yang kini telah mulai ditinggalkan oleh manusia.
